Every one of our staff is police checked and Working with Children checked, and our training matrix, tickets and qualifications go out to any client who asks to see them. GTC Environmental has been working trees across Melbourne for more than twelve years, we are fully insured, and we write a Safety Management Plan for each contract covering all aspects of OH&S, because the safety at stake is yours, your neighbours' and the public's as much as our crew's.

The other thing we do before a saw comes out is put it in writing. A tree assessment or inspection report sets out what condition the tree is actually in and why it does or does not need work, which is what you want in your hand before you spend money on it or argue a case with anyone. We will only carry out work when we are certain it is safe to do so, whatever that does to the schedule, and that applies to your family and your neighbours as much as to us.

The work itself covers tree and stump removal, with tree climbing for the trees no machine can get near, which counts for a great deal on the tight sloping blocks out this way. For the trees staying where they are we take on trimming, pruning and shaping, along with deadwooding and weight reduction to get the load off a heavy or failing limb, and we will fit cables and braces where a branch is worth holding rather than losing. Further out, vegetation management and fire breaks keep fuel loads and access under control on rural and bush fringe blocks, everything we chip comes back as mulch, and we run mulch and firewood sales for locals. When weather brings something down, storm and emergency work gets the property safe again.
