Australian Standard AS/NZS 4373:1996 governs how a cut is made on an amenity tree, and it is the standard every job of ours is done to, alongside the local government requirements and the WorkCover Code of Practice. Our arborists are fully qualified with over 20 years in the horticulture industry behind them, and we run Harbour Arbor Tree Care out of Shellharbour as a locally owned business.

Hazardous deadwood removal takes out the limbs most likely to fail, canopy shaping and weight reduction bring a heavy crown back into balance so it carries a storm better, and palm maintenance includes taking off the seed pods and old fronds before they start attracting pests. Where a tree is worth keeping but needs help holding itself together, we install cabling and bracing, and root barriers go in where roots are heading for a slab or a path.

Some trees have to go, whether from disease, structural instability or because a development runs straight through them. Our tree removal covers trees of any size, assessed first and taken out with equipment chosen to keep the risk off your property, and we handle site clearing on larger projects. The stump grinding that follows uses no chemicals at all, with compact machinery that gets into tight spaces, and the ground is left ready for replanting or landscaping.

Beyond that we write arborist consultations and tree reports, supply wood chipping, mulch and firewood, maintain hedges and shrubs, plant and transplant trees, and attend emergency tree works.
