About This Business
Simon Tabone is our director and a NSW certified arborist with twenty five years in the trade. What he specialises in is arboriculture and tree surgery, tree hazard evaluation, large scale land clearing, and crown thinning, shaping and pruning, which between them cover just about anything a tree on a suburban block will ever ask of you. High Point Tree Service is built around that quarter century, and it shows up most in the jobs where the right answer is not the obvious one.
We have worked the Macarthur area for many years and cover Campbelltown and the rest of South West Sydney from there. Local knowledge counts for more here than it sounds like it should, because the councils in this part of Sydney each handle tree applications their own way. We carry public liability, professional indemnity and workers compensation insurance, the vehicles and machinery are covered as well, and every job runs under strict safety protocols for the crew, for your property and for whatever is left standing when we are finished.
The paperwork is the part people underestimate. Councils around here want the application settled before anything comes down, so we prepare and submit the council applications and permits for you and make sure they line up with the local regulations, which takes the back and forth off your hands. That work usually begins with a hazard tree assessment, looking at the health, structure and safety of the tree, and finishes as a written arborist report a council will accept. It is the difference between an application that goes through and one that comes back with questions.
Out on the job, tree removal handles the hazards, the sick and the ones simply standing in the wrong place, while selective tree pruning is precise branch removal on a mature tree that lifts its health, appearance and safety and leaves the shape of it intact. Stump grinding clears out what is left in the ground afterwards. Everything that comes off a job gets chipped into mulch, so your green waste ends up improving somebody's soil rather than filling a tip.
We are available 24/7 for storm damage and anything else that will not keep, and open Monday to Friday from eight to five, Saturdays by appointment, closed Sundays and public holidays. Quotes are free on request and hold good for 30 days, so there is no pressure on you to decide on the spot, and payment is by cash or bank transfer. Ring Simon, tell him what the tree is doing and where it is standing, and he will come out and have a look at it.
