The name is not decoration. Plenty of the trees on the Peninsula and around Bayside are standing where no machine will ever reach them, behind a house, over a pool, hard against a boundary on a block with a metre of side access. Those come out on rope. The tree is climbed, the limbs are cut and lowered on rigging in pieces sized to the landing zone available, and the whole thing comes down without a truck ever leaving the street. The same skill set does the delicate end of the work: crown reduction and weight reduction high in a canopy, dead wooding, structural shaping, and hedging cut to a line and held there year on year.

Where the job is paperwork before it is a saw, we write tree reports that councils will actually accept. That means an assessment of species, health and structure, a risk and hazard analysis, Tree Protection Zone calculations run to AS4970-2009 for development sites, and a clear recommendation on whether a tree is pruned, retained or removed. We do this regularly for Mornington Peninsula Shire, Bayside City, Frankston City and Kingston City councils, and for the builders, developers and body corporates who have to satisfy them, across Mornington, Mount Eliza, Mount Martha, Frankston, Frankston South, Somerville, Tyabb, Hastings, Dromana, Safety Beach, Rosebud, Capel Sound, Rye, Tootgarook, Blairgowrie, Sorrento, Portsea, Red Hill, Red Hill South, Arthurs Seat, Flinders, Balnarring and Merricks. On the ground the list is what you would expect and the finish is the part worth mentioning.
