It started the way plenty of Australian businesses do, one bloke and a solid work ethic. Tyson Brown worked as a sole trader for close to 20 years before Jack of All Trees became a registered business, and 2025 marks ten years of that. Tyson still quotes every job himself, Julianah looks after customers, Kellie runs the office and accounts, Sam is coming through as an apprentice tree climber, and Kole subcontracts to us on the bigger jobs.

Tree removal is simple enough when there is room to drop a tree and a puzzle when there is not, so for the ones that have to come out over a roof, a pool or a fence line we run an elevated work platform and take them down a section at a time. Palm tree removal is a job of its own and we do plenty of them. Stump removal deals with what is left in the ground, ground out low enough that you can turf, pave or plant over the top of it.

Tree pruning is the other side of what we do: keeping a tree in decent shape, taking weight out of limbs that are getting heavy, and clearing branches back off the house before they start doing damage. If a tree can be kept rather than removed, we would rather keep it, and we will say so when we quote instead of talking you into taking a healthy tree down.

Everyone on the crew holds AQF Level 3 Arboriculture along with chainsaw operations, elevated work platform and working at heights, traffic management and white card tickets. We carry twenty million dollars of public liability cover and workers compensation, which is what councils and government departments want to see before anyone sets foot on a site, and it is the same cover whether we are on a council job or in your back yard.

We work for homeowners and businesses as much as for councils and government, and our council and government clients also have after hours emergency response when a tree comes down outside working hours. Otherwise we are on the tools Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5pm. We cover a fair stretch of Adelaide, from Salisbury and Mawson Lakes in the north down to Moana in the south, out along the coast through North Haven, Semaphore, West Lakes, Henley Beach, West Beach, Glenelg, Somerton Park, Brighton, Seacliff, Hallett Cove and Christies Beach, and in closer through Prospect and North Adelaide.
