Steve Jackson has been taking trees down on the Gold Coast since 1998, and Jackson's Tree Service has worked out of Mudgeeraba the whole time. Our day starts at 6:30 in the morning, six days a week, and Steve is the name most customers end up using. We're qualified members of the Queensland Arboricultural Association, and everyone who turns up on your place is fully trained, licensed and insured.

Working the same region since 1998 means we've watched how the local species behave on local blocks, in local weather. That shows up before anyone starts a saw, in how a job gets planned, where the timber is going to land and what the ground underneath it will take. Twenty seven years on the one patch is also twenty seven years of the same phone number, which is not nothing in a trade people tend to ring once every few years.

Tree removal runs from suburban back yards through to large commercial blocks, including the trees standing too close to a house or to power lines to come down the conventional way. Where a tree is staying, tree lopping brings its size back under control and clears the dead and weak limbs before they let go of their own accord.

Our tree arborist services cover the advice side of it: a tree's health, its structure, its stability, and what ought to happen next. Getting that assessment done first is often what decides whether a tree can be kept at all, and it costs a good deal less than finding out the hard way. A qualified member of the Queensland Arboricultural Association looking at your tree is a different proposition from someone quoting off the footpath.

Land clearing brings in a civil earthmover for the bigger sites, taking a block from overgrown to workable. Once the timber is on the ground, the good hardwood moves on through our firewood sales, so what came off your job ends up in somebody's fireplace. It keeps the disposal side of a big removal from being pure cost, and it means we're not carting usable hardwood to a tip.

Sometimes you just can't plan for everything. If a storm has left you with trees you're worried about, or timber threatening your property, our emergency services run on a separate after hours number and we'd rather you didn't delay on those. Booked work runs Monday to Saturday from 6:30am to 5:30pm, we're closed Sundays, and public holidays are by appointment.
