Jacob's Ladder Tree Service

I'm Jacob, and I started Jacob's Ladder Tree Service with a colleague many years ago. We are based at Milang and work across the Adelaide Hills, and after decades on the tools most of our work still comes to us by word of mouth, and that steady stream of referrals is the recommendation we trust most. We are a climbing outfit through and through: we work on rope and harness rather than a cherry picker, which lets us reach the tight back corners of a garden a machine can never get to, and reach them without leaving tracks across your lawn and garden beds.

Tree removal is where that climbing approach earns its keep. The confined jobs, a tree wedged between a shed and a fence, or one hanging out over the pool, come down in careful sections on ropes with nothing underneath getting touched. Every removal is carried out by a qualified, insured arborist, the limbs lowered and rigged down under control, and we take the whole tree down and leave the site tidy whatever the access is like.

Tree pruning is about keeping a tree safe while it still looks like a tree. We thin the canopy and take off the weight and the deadwood that need to come out, so the tree keeps its natural shape and stays sound. That care matters most on the trees growing up close to a house, where getting the pruning right protects both the tree and the roof it leans over.

On the arborist side, we inspect trees properly for disease, pests and structural weakness, and give you a straight read on what a tree needs and how urgent it is. Jacob himself is a fully trained and insured arborist, and the crew is a mix of experienced climbers and arborists coming up through their training.
