When a tree has simply grown too big for where it is, tree felling takes the whole thing out, while tree lopping brings out large branches, stumps and trunks in pieces. Large or dangerous trees putting a house, a fence or a shed at risk are their own category of work, and those are the ones that want somebody who knows how to bring them down safely and efficiently. We use the best equipment available and we intend to get it right the first time. Afterwards, stump grinding takes out what has been left in the ground so nothing regrows and you get the space back for something else.

A great many trees do not need to go anywhere at all. What gets called tree trimming and pruning is really several different jobs, and we keep them apart because they do different things. We take the dead and diseased branches out under dead wooding, before they can damage anything. Thinning brings down the density of a canopy and how much wind it catches. With pollarding the branch growth comes off annually or every second year, and crown reduction pulls a tree's height or spread back in where it has got away. On hedges the timing matters as much as the cut: a new hedge wants formative pruning in late summer or early spring, an informal hedge wants trimming once a year after that, and a formal one twice.

The garden side runs alongside all of it. Hedge trimming and hedge cutting keep screening and boundaries in order, lawn mowing is available right across Ballarat on a property of any size, and pressure washing takes on driveways, patios and whatever custom job you have in mind.
