Maurice is the Level III qualified arborist behind Lachlan Valley Tree Services and he brings decades on the tools to every job, while Cindy keeps the phone and the diary running. For almost 20 years we have been doing tree work around Cowra and the district: a locally established business that employs local people, fully insured for public liability, and a member of the Tree Contractors Association of Australia.

Trees come down by climbing or off the elevated work platform, whichever the job calls for. Tree removal on a tight block, beside a shed or under powerlines gets worked out before anyone starts cutting, and the difficult and large removals are the ones we have built the business on. No job is too big or too small either. A single limb hanging over a driveway gets the same attention as a line of dead timber along a farm fence.

Where a tree is staying, tree maintenance keeps it in shape, clears the growth heading somewhere it should not and takes the weight off the branches over your yard. Debris management deals with the limbs already hung up in a canopy, which are the ones that catch people out. After a removal, stump grinding takes the stump and the exposed root ball down and out of the way, and we clear the grindings so the area is tidy when we leave. Mulching turns dead or nuisance trees into something you can spread straight through the flowerbeds.

Bigger country jobs need a different set of machines. Mechanical clearing takes out the overgrowth that will not come away by hand and leaves usable ground behind it.
