Ben Hone began a dual qualification apprenticeship in Horticulture and Arboriculture back in 2007, and the years after that, working for other arborists around the state, are where the tree climbing came from. Limb-it-Less Tree Services followed in 2018, family owned and locally operated out of Korora just north of Coffs Harbour, with Jemma on the other end of the phone. We are Arboriculture and Horticulture certified and licensed for High Risk Machinery and Elevated Work Platforms.

Our patch is a long one. Close to home it takes in Coffs Harbour and Korora, and from there we travel to Grafton, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Nambucca Heads, Kempsey, Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas of the Mid North Coast. Wherever the job is, our tree removal is carried out in accordance with local regulations, so nothing comes down that should have had an approval behind it first.

Climbing is what we are set up for, and it is what a complicated removal on this coast usually comes down to: a tree standing over a roof, or hemmed in by two neighbours, has to leave the ground in sections on ropes because there is nowhere to put it in one piece. Ben works to the complete health of a tree, so the assessment that comes before the saw matters as much as the cut itself. Our tree pruning covers crown lifting, crown reduction and deadwood removal, chosen to improve the shape and the condition of the tree we are working on.

Once a tree is out, our stump grinding and removal clears what is under the ground, and our land clearing takes on the bigger vegetation work on acreage and development blocks. Our chipping and mulching puts the green waste through the chipper where it falls, so what comes off the tree can stay on the property as mulch.

We are open Monday to Sunday, 24 hours, for emergency tree services where a tree has fallen or a storm has left something hanging over your house.
