Local Tree Care

Working either side of the Murray puts us in two states at once, and we have been doing it since 1998. Local Tree Care covers Albury, Wodonga and the country around them, out through North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. Colin and Sandra Kramer started the business and still run it, both of them holding Diplomas in Arboriculture and Environmental Sustainability, and the crew that has grown up around them is diploma qualified and fully insured.

Taking a tree down on a tight suburban block is a different exercise to taking one out of an open paddock, so we would rather look at a tree removal before we put a price on it. Tree pruning and hedge trimming keep what you are holding onto in shape, and stump grinding clears the ground once the tree is gone. If you want something back in its place, we handle tree planting too.

Not all of it involves a chainsaw. We assess and treat tree pests and diseases, and our tree consultancy covers the advice you need when a tree sits near a build, a boundary or a council application. Arborist reports are written up properly: the health and condition of the tree, the risks that go with it and a recommendation you can hand straight to whoever asked you for one.

Tree work is not something to have a go at yourself off a ladder on a Saturday. We carry current insurances and policies and we are happy to put them in front of you before a crew turns up at the gate. We also know how the trees around here behave, and that goes into what we recommend rather than just into what we quote.

Storm damage is its own kind of job, and when a limb or a whole tree has come down on your place we run an emergency response for it. The towns we work through take in Baranduda, Leneva, Bonegilla, Kiewa, Tangambalanga, Yackandandah, Beechworth, Stanley, Allans Flat, Staghorn Flat, Kergunyah, Bethanga, Chiltern, Jindera, Howlong, Table Top, Gerogery, Culcairn and Holbrook.
