Monbulk Tree Services runs out of Priors Road in Monbulk, and we work across the Dandenong Ranges and the country around them. We carry twenty million dollars of insurance and we quote for free, so there is nothing owing on getting us out to look at a tree.

Monbulk, or Monbolac, means sanctuary in the hills in the Wurundjeri language, and that is a fair description of what we are working in. The eucalypts up here are enormous, and they are the reason most people came to the Ranges in the first place. We have learned to live alongside them, and the aim is that they are still standing for the generations after this one. Sometimes that means taking one out because it has become a danger to the house underneath it. Sometimes it means taking a little weight off and leaving the tree exactly where it is.

Our tree pruning and uplifting work lifts low branches clear of roofs, driveways and sheds and lets light back down into a garden, and we handle tree lopping and tree removal when a tree has died back, outgrown its spot or crowded a house on a tight hillside block. Every removal gets worked out around what is sitting beside and below it, which matters more here than it does on a flat quarter acre. We take the stump down below ground level with stump grinding so you can turf, plant or pave straight over the top, and whatever comes off the tree goes through the chipper. If a garden bed of yours could use it, our mulch delivery will drop a load where you want it.

There is more to this than saws. We also take on landscaping and excavations in tight areas, which counts for a great deal on the narrow driveways and steep blocks around Monbulk where a full sized machine will not fit, and it means the tree work, the clean up and the groundwork can all come from the one local crew.
