Dan, who owns Morrison Tree Care, is a qualified arborist and a qualified horticulturist, with over ten years across both trades. Our arborists are ISA approved and qualified. It is a family owned local business working out of Eltham, using the safest techniques and equipment the industry has, and the double qualification is the reason we talk about your trees the way we do: what is going to keep them healthy matters here as much as what comes off them on the day.

That shows up first in the pruning. We take out the dead, damaged and overgrown branches to improve a tree's structure, get growth moving and bring the risk down, and opening a canopy up for sunlight and air movement is what adds years to a tree rather than just tidying it. We look at deadwood removal from the safety end of the same job, finding the weak and dying limbs and taking them off before they break, which protects the tree, the roof and whatever is parked under it. Done properly it also lifts the look of a tree and adds to how long it lives.

When a tree does have to go, tree removal starts with a site assessment of the tree's condition and everything around it, then the safest method for that particular block, then a thorough clean up that leaves the place neat and free of hazards. Stump grinding follows, taking the stump below ground level so you get the space back for landscaping or building, with no regrowth, no tripping hazard and nothing left to draw termites into the yard. We also do hedging to keep a screen dense and even, and we install possum guards, which stop the bark stripping without harming the animals doing it.
