A great deal can be achieved with tree pruning without anything having to come out at all. We reduce height where a tree has got away from a block, prune back from rooftops and fencelines, thin a canopy to let light through it, deadwood the limbs that are past saving, and lift a crown for clearance underneath. Done properly it keeps a tree structurally sound, improves how it looks, and stops the branch that was going to fall from falling on something of yours.

Where a tree or a palm does have to come out, our tree and palm removal handles it, whether the reason is disease, storm damage, a position that never suited it, or an unwanted weed species that has taken hold. Formal and informal boundaries are kept dense and neat with hedge trimming, and once a tree is down our stump grinding removes what is left in the ground. All waste is removed and the site is left tidy.

Choosing what goes back in is worth as much thought as taking something out. We would always recommend a native tree that will attract local wildlife, provided it also suits the soil conditions, drainage, wind, sun and sea exposure on your particular site, and we keep a gallery of natives suited to this region, from Lemon Myrtle and Hairpin Banksia through to Finger Lime and Macadamia.
