Matt Spark cut his teeth climbing some of the biggest trees in the country, down in the Valley of the Giants, and he is still on site for every job MPS Tree Services carries out. He comes from a long line of arborists, has been in the industry for more than a decade, and started this business five years ago out of Mandurah. Climbing is the part he is known for, which is what lets us get into trees where there is nowhere to put a machine.

We take trees out whole with tree removal, keep them in shape with tree pruning and trimming, and grind out what is left with stump grinding and removal, so you are not steering the mower around a stump for the next ten years. Palm tree removal is on the list as well, along with hedge trimming to hold a boundary hedge at the height you actually want it.

A whole site can be stripped ready for building or fencing with block tree clearing, and everything that comes off a job can go through the chipper: with tree mulching and green waste you can keep the mulch for the garden or have it carted away. We also do tree climbing and drone recovery. If a drone has put itself into a canopy twenty metres up, somebody has to climb for it, and that is a call we will take.

Our work runs across homes, businesses and local authorities, so being certified and fully insured is not optional, and neither is planning a job properly before the first cut is made. That planning is most of the difference between a clean removal and an expensive afternoon: where the tree will go, what is underneath it, and which limbs come off in what order. Matt's team has grown over the years and he trains the arborists coming up through it himself, so the crew that turns up has learned the job from the person whose name is on the truck.
