MS Consulting Arborist

Our GPS and GIS positioning hardware puts the trees on your site directly into Google Earth imagery, accurately placed, so you, your designer and your certifier are all looking at the same thing. MS Consulting Arborist is an AQF Level 5 consulting arborist practice based on the NSW Central Coast. We do not cut trees. We assess them and we put the findings in writing, whether that supports keeping the tree, managing it or taking it out.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. We conduct no tree work at all, no removals and no pruning, which means there is nothing riding on the answer we hand you. Our reputation is built on honesty, objectivity and reliability, and the tree management information we provide is unbiased and technically accurate because we have no job to sell you at the end of it.

Most of what we produce is arboricultural impact assessment reports for submission to council or to a private certifier. Preliminary arborist assessments come in earlier than that, informing design decisions while they can still be changed without much cost, and our pre-development assessments and reports cover the same ground for a project that is still on paper.

Tree risk assessment is QTRA certified work, which puts a defensible figure on what a tree genuinely threatens instead of leaving the question to opinion. Where the question is a single tree, our individual tree assessment handles those questions, the ones where a neighbour, an insurer or a strata committee wants a straight answer, and tree management plans take the longer view across a site with trees worth retaining. Any of it can be issued as an AQF Level 5 certified report, which is the standard most NSW councils look for.

We hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma of Horticulture, we are NSW DET approved, QTRA certified and fully insured. We are based on the Central Coast and work through Gosford, Woy Woy and Umina, cover all areas within Sydney including North Sydney and Hornsby, and take on work across Newcastle, the Hunter and the Blue Mountains.
