Mudgee Tree Services started in 2005 as a small family business and has held onto the family ownership through twenty years of trading. The founding goal it still quotes is plain enough: support the community with safe, professional tree care. The business works out of Eurunderee, just north of Mudgee, and covers a fair slab of the Central West. Its arborists hold Certificate III in Arboriculture, the crew is qualified in occupational health and safety, and the operation is fully insured.

Tree removal is the headline service, with stump grinding to finish the job off and pruning and maintenance for the trees staying put. Hedging is on the list too. Waste does not get carted to a tip if it can be helped: mulching and chipping turns it into something usable, which the business puts forward as the environmentally sensible way to handle it. The site also sets out the industry regulators it works under, which is not something every operator bothers to publish.

What sets this outfit apart from a straight suburban tree service is orchard pruning. The crews take on seasonal orchard work across Mudgee for rural, residential and commercial growers, running from formative cuts on young trees through to corrective work on older growth. They use green tech quad saws for clean, consistent cuts, then run the chipper through afterwards so the orchard is left tidy and ready for the season. Their advice on timing is late winter or very early spring, just before the buds start to swell, with some species getting a lighter summer prune to keep disease down.

Land clearing and firebreaks covers the rural end of the work. Firebreaks matter more out this way than they do in town, where a block left alone for a few years turns into a liability by summer. Storm clean-up and emergency call-outs handle the unplanned side. A 4.5 tonne mini excavator is available for hire if you want the machine on your own job rather than the crew.
