Founded in 2005 as a small family business, Mudgee Tree Services started with a simple goal, which was to support the community with safe tree care, and it is still family owned twenty years later. Our arborists are certified, holding Certificate III in Arboriculture and OH&S qualifications, and we are fully insured. A safety first culture is what has carried the business this far, and it still decides how every job is planned.

What began in Mudgee now extends well beyond it. We take work in Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Wellington, Parkes and Coonabarabran, on residential lots, farms, orchards, council land and commercial properties. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm, and the early start is worth having when the job is an hour out of town.

Difficult trees are our specialty, and that is a deliberate choice. The tree nobody else wants to quote, the one leaning the wrong way over a shed or split through the middle after a storm, is the job we are set up for, and our storm clean up work runs on the same footing. Council compliance is part of it, not an afterthought: we work in line with council regulations and site safety protocols on every project, and we keep guidance on our own site about what the councils and the industry regulators require of you.

Out on the bigger blocks, land clearing and firebreaks deals with overgrown ground, thick scrub and tangled debris, whether you are preparing a site to build, opening up access or getting a break in before bushfire season. Clearing done badly causes erosion, takes out native habitat and leaves dangerous debris behind, so we remove the vegetation, the small trees and the surface debris without wrecking the landscape around it. Excavator hire is available for the work that needs the machine, and orchard pruning is handled as its own job for the growers around here.

Closer to the house, pruning and maintenance and hedging keep trees healthy and in shape, tree removal takes out the hazardous ones, and stump grinding smooths the ground back ready for replanting or landscaping. Green waste goes through the chipper and comes back as mulch for the garden instead of going to landfill.
