About This Business
The regulated and significant tree laws in South Australia confuse plenty of people, and they are the first thing worth settling before any tree comes out. We've researched the current rules, including section 26(8) of the Development Act 1993, and we're always happy to talk you through where your tree stands. Northern Tree Service has worked out of Angle Vale for more than 25 years, our crew is fully certified and trained, and we carry $20 million in liability cover. Ring us about a tree you're unsure of and that advice costs you nothing.
Trees come out for all sorts of reasons: dead or in decline, planted too close to a building, a fence, the plumbing or a power line, or simply standing where an extension needs to go. Our tree removal runs from small backyard jobs up to confined space tree removal, where there's no clear drop and the tree has to come down in pieces. Palms are their own kind of job, and our palm tree removal takes on the shedding and non-shedding sorts alike, with the fallen fronds and seed pods cleared away at the same time. Once the trunk is gone we come back through with stump removal and stump mulching, so there's nothing left to steer the mower around.
A tree that worries you isn't automatically a tree that has to go. Tree pruning, trimming and shaping keep a canopy safe and in proportion, and a regular look over a tree is how the awkward things get picked up early: interior decay, a fungal problem taking hold, a limb that won't carry its own weight much longer. Pruning done badly causes its own trouble, from a misshapen tree through to fungal infection getting in at the cuts, so it's worth putting the secateurs down and having someone qualified look at it. If a storm has already been through, you can reach us 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Angle Vale is our base, and the ground we take in from there runs through Elizabeth, Salisbury, Smithfield, Munno Para, Craigmore, Golden Grove, Mawson Lakes, Paralowie, Virginia, Two Wells and Gawler, then up into the Barossa Valley to Freeling, Kapunda, Nuriootpa and Tanunda. Bookings also come to us from the southern, eastern and western suburbs of Adelaide, and garden maintenance can go on the same visit if you want the lot dealt with in one go.
None of what comes off your job is treated as rubbish. Every branch and all the small wood is processed and recycled into environmentally friendly leaf mulch, then carted off site or left with you if you arrange it beforehand, and we run leaf mulch deliveries as a service in their own right. An established garden is mostly a question of what you can get in and where you can set it down, so we bring a range of modern equipment and techniques that let us work around the plants, paths and lawn you've spent years and money on. The site is left clean and tidy when we pull out.
Quotes are free and carry no obligation, whether it's one overhanging limb or a block full of gums. The person who comes out to price your job is on the crew that turns up to do it, and we turn up on the day we booked, weather permitting, so there's no second day off work to organise. Give us a ring during waking hours for a price or just for advice, or send an enquiry through and you'll have an answer inside 24 hours.
