Tony Head and Michael Dawson both studied arboriculture at Murdoch before they started Perth Arbor Services in 2011, and they started it because they thought the industry had room for improvement. Degree qualified tree surgeons are still what you get on site. Every project comes with a Safety Method Statement written for it, OH and S industry standards are maintained for you, your property, our workers and the public, and we are members of ArbWest. Tony and Michael keep themselves current on industry standards and best practice, which is less glamorous than it sounds and matters more.

Our tipper trucks, Hiab truck, chipper, stump grinders, chainsaws and rigging equipment are serviced and maintained on a regular schedule, because gear that is not maintained is the thing that turns a routine job into an incident. It also decides what we can take on: a dead gum leaning over a carport, a block that has to come clear before a build, a palm that needs trimming above a roofline. Once a tree is down the stump grinding follows, and land and lot clearance runs the same way with the tipper and chipper on site so you are not left with a pile in the driveway.

How a tree is cut decides how it grows back, so our tree pruning is done by people who know what a given species will do next, and hedging and palm trimming are handled the same way. Where a tree's condition is genuinely in question, a tree risk assessment gives you something written down to act on before you commit to anything. Power line clearance is its own discipline and we are set up for it, and we take on insurance and emergency work where the response has to be quick; on those, we survey the land and the trees, then quote the lot in detail rather than starting work and finding out.

We are east of the city at Forrestfield and cover the metro area from there: Perth CBD, West Perth, North Perth, Highgate, Mount Lawley, Menora, Maylands, Inglewood, Bayswater, Dianella, Yokine and Nollamara through the inner north; Subiaco, Leederville, Jolimont, Wembley, Floreat, City Beach, Claremont, Nedlands, Dalkeith, Cottesloe, Peppermint Grove and Mosman Park out west; Applecross, Booragoon, Melville, Kardinya, Fremantle, Como, Salter Point and South Perth south of the river; and Belmont, Burswood, East Victoria Park, Warwick and Kalamunda closer to home.
