Branches that come off your trees go through the chipper before anything leaves the property. Our tree chipping and tree mulching are both done on site, and the mulch from your own job comes back to you free if you want it on the garden beds. It saves a trip to the tip, and it saves you buying the same material back at a garden centre come spring.

We have been at this for more than a decade, running Pro-Cut Tree Services out of Kilsyth in Melbourne's east, with in house arborists on staff and consulting arborists on hand when a job calls for one. What we can take on is decided by what is on the truck that morning. Bandit chippers deal with the material, Kubota excavators and a five tonne machine with a rotating grab shift what no crew is lifting by hand, Hino tippers cart it away, and a crane truck lifts sections out over a roof when there is no path through the yard to carry them. Pole saws and loaders fill in the rest. That is why a large awkward tree hard against a building is an ordinary day for us instead of a special case.

Tree removal here runs from a small tree in a courtyard through to a large one growing tight against a house or the powerlines. Regular tree trimming, tree pruning and hedge trimming keep established trees and hedges safe and holding their shape, powerline clearance keeps growth off the network, and site clearance strips trees and scrub off a block ahead of building or landscaping. Once the cutting is finished, stump removal and stump grinding get what is left out from below ground, and if you have four stumps to grind we will do the fifth one for nothing.

On the technical side our arborists produce arborist reports and hazard and risk assessment for a tree somebody is worried about, and tree maintenance plans for keeping a stand of trees healthy across years instead of reacting one failure at a time. Cable bracing supports a structurally weak limb so a tree you value can stay where it is, and possum banding keeps possums out of the trees you would rather they left alone. Property owners, builders and property managers are the ones who tend to need this end of the work.
