Our yard sits in Wangara, out in Perth's northern suburbs, and the trucks go out from there to every suburb in Perth. Professional Tree Solutions is family owned and operated, headed up by Nick Keratzis. Nick holds a Certificate 3 in Arboriculture and a Bachelor of Education, he is working through a Graduate Diploma of Arboriculture at the University of Melbourne, and he is a registered user of Quantified Tree Risk Assessment. What we are after is the health of your trees, which is a different job from lopping them.

Work near a live network is not something anyone can take on without the paperwork behind them. Every one of our crew is Western Power Network Authorised, and between us we carry high voltage vegetation pruning qualifications, traffic management, high risk licences, senior first aid, white cards and office of energy safety cards. Luke Osborne holds his Certificate 3 in Arboriculture alongside Nick, Dave Donley drives the MC truck and is qualified as a safety observer on vegetation pruning, and Josh Nolan is studying arboriculture at Murdoch TAFE along with a Certificate 2 in Vegetation Management. That is what lets us carry out power and service line clearance in any Perth suburb, to Western Power's own regulations.

Away from the lines, the work is what you would expect of us. Tree removal and tree surgery take care of the job at height, stump removals deal with what is left sitting in the ground, and pruning and hedge and shrub trimming hold the rest of the garden in shape. We take on palm tree lopping and palm removal where a palm has outgrown its spot or is dropping fronds across a path. Whatever comes off the job goes through the chipper, and our mulching service puts it back onto your garden beds.

Where a tree looks unwell and nobody can say why, a plant health check will tell you what is actually wrong with it before you decide whether it stays. When the decision has already been made for you by the weather, emergency tree work is available 24 hours a day.
