About This Business
Sometimes you can see there is a problem and have no idea what to call it. A limb has cracked without falling, or a tree is dropping leaves out of season, or roots have started lifting the path. You do not have to work out which service you need before you ring. Tell us what you are looking at and you will get honest, practical advice with no obligation attached, and if the answer is that nothing needs doing yet, that is what we will say. We are a family run business at Quality Tree Works, born and bred in Traralgon, with more than 20 years spent climbing and cutting trees.
The climbing is what changes a tall tree from a problem into a job. Reaching high level branches is not a matter of a saw and a ladder, and a tree that has grown over a house or a set of lines has to be worked from inside the canopy, section by section, with every piece lowered on ropes. Two decades of that is why we take on the trees other crews leave alone, and why we do our tree lopping with as little harm to the tree as the job will allow.
The other side of the business happens on paper. Council town planning requirements often stop a project until there is an arborist report in hand, and we prepare the full range of them: assessments and reports for building developments, the reports councils require under local government town planning, tree risk assessments for managing private and public open spaces, and reports tied to ecological surveys and tree offset management plans. We also take on tree pest and disease management, with treatment options for a tree that is struggling rather than finished.
Traralgon is home, and the greater Traralgon area is where we work: Rosedale, Yarram, Moe, Morwell, Rawson, Glengarry, Toongabbie and Heyfield. Working the same towns for years gives you a feel for the tree varieties you are likely to meet in them. Across all of it we do tree maintenance of every sort, from pruning and trimming through to shaping, tree removal where a tree genuinely has to go, and stump grinding to clear what is left sitting in the lawn afterwards.
Storms, fires and wild weather come with living down here, and they leave trees damaged or half uprooted and dangerous. Our crew is on hand for emergency and storm tree response when that happens. The rest of the time it is the friendly, old fashioned service that we would rather be judged on: turning up when we said we would, fully trained, qualified and insured, with jobs big and small treated the same way. Ring 0418 574 162, describe the tree, and we will tell you straight what it needs.
