About This Business
The experience behind this business did not all come from the one town. Our staff have worked across Australia and throughout Europe, gaining vital skills and building the knowledge base we bring back to a job here. Quinn's Tree Care is a fully qualified and insured tree company based in Wagga Wagga, and every cut we make is carried out to the Australian Arboricultural Standards AS4373/96.
Tree work can be extremely dangerous, so safety sits ahead of everything else, for you and for our staff. We are committed to giving our crew the right skills, qualifications, training and the latest equipment available to carry out a job safely. When a tree is dead or showing die back at the branch tips, when a storm or a lightning strike has left it structurally compromised, when the root plate is lifting and the trunk swaying heavily in the wind, or when it is damaging a footpath, a driveway or a building in a way pruning will never solve, we will tell you straight. The latest climbing equipment and techniques bring it down, and where the access demands it we call in specialist machinery such as cranes and cherry pickers.
Plenty of people do not realise how much can be done for a problem tree short of taking it out. Tree pruning and lopping will often maintain or improve the health, appearance and safety of a tree you would sooner keep. Branches torn off in a storm leave large wounds or stubs the tree struggles to callus over, and an uncallused wound decays and becomes infested with pests, which can eventually kill it. If you have built or renovated recently you may have damaged the critical root zone of a valued tree without knowing it, and our arborists know the tell-tale signs to look for. On pests and disease we inspect, diagnose the problem and recommend a plan to control and treat it, with low impact treatments and natural ingredients wherever possible.
Palms are a study of their own. An Alexandria or a Bangalow largely cleans itself and asks little of anyone, a Cocos palm holds onto its fronds, seed pods and fruit and wants doing every year, and a Phoenix or date palm carries long thin spikes along the base of its fronds that cause genuinely uncomfortable pain if you catch one. Our hedge trimming specialists look after the structure and style end of things. After a removal, stump grinding takes a stump to roughly 250mm to 300mm below ground level, so new turf lays straight over the top and no termite colony makes a home in what is left. If you would sooner leave the stump where it is, we poison it free of charge the moment it is dismantled, which prevents regrowth in most cases.
We are based in Wagga Wagga and cover the surrounding areas, taking in Cootamundra, Harden, Young and Temora. Our hours run from 6:30am to 8:30pm through the week and 8:00am to 6:00pm on weekends, with a 24 hour emergency call out for anything that will not keep until morning. Ring us or send an email, and we will get you booked in.
