About This Business

Every cut we make is carried out to the Australian arboricultural standard AS4373/96, and the experience behind it did not all come from the one town. Our staff have worked across Australia and through Europe, and that is the knowledge base we bring to a job here. Quinn's Tree Care is a fully qualified and insured tree company based in Wagga Wagga, and safety comes ahead of everything, for you and for our crew, because tree work can be genuinely dangerous.

Tree removal is the last option, not the first. Where a tree is dead or in decline, structurally compromised after a storm, lifting its root plate and swaying heavily in the wind, or damaging a footpath, driveway or building in a way pruning will never fix, we will tell you straight and take it out using the latest climbing equipment and techniques. Some sites need specialist machinery, so we bring in cranes and cherry pickers when the access demands it. Plenty of problem trees never need to come out at all, and tree pruning and lopping will often restore the health, appearance and safety of a tree you would rather keep.

Tree care is the side of the work that keeps a tree alive. Branches torn off in a storm leave wounds the tree struggles to callus over, and an open wound decays and takes on pests. Build or renovate and you can damage the critical root zone of a valued tree without ever knowing, though our arborists know the tell-tale signs to look for. We inspect and diagnose pests and disease and put together a plan to control and treat them, using low impact treatments and natural ingredients wherever we can. Sometimes the answer is simply that the species was never built for a hot dry climate and wants regular water.

Hedge trimming is its own skill and our hedge specialists do it properly. So is palm maintenance: an Alexandria or Bangalow largely cleans itself, a Cocos palm holds onto its fronds, seed pods and fruit and wants doing every year, and a Phoenix or date palm carries long spikes along the frond bases that hurt for days if you catch one. After a removal, stump grinding takes the stump to roughly 250mm to 300mm below ground level, so you can lay new turf straight over the top of it. If you would rather leave the stump where it is, we poison it free of charge the moment we have dismantled it, which stops regrowth in most cases.

We are located in Wagga Wagga and service all areas of the Riverina, taking in Cootamundra, Harden, Young and Temora. Our hours run from 6:30am to 8:30pm through the week and 8:00am to 6:00pm on weekends, and there is a 24 hour emergency call out for the things that will not keep until morning. Ring 0412 588 105 or send us an email, and we will come and have a look at the tree.
