Forrester and Lewis Thompson started Rapid Tree Service in 2011 and still run it as a family business, with more than 15 years of tree work in Lesmurdie and the surrounding hills behind them. We are qualified and fully insured, the climbers and the machinery are ours, and every job is carried out to industry standards. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.

Tree removal is never one method. How we take a tree down depends on its size and its shape, how old it is, and whether rot or insect infestation has been through it, so a sound gum with room to fall and a hollow one wedged between two houses are approached completely differently. Between the climbers and the latest gear we can cover either, and if you are weighing up a felling job it is worth having someone look at it before you or your property end up in the way of it.

Most trees you would rather keep than lose. That is what tree maintenance is for, and we do it all year round: general pruning and dead wooding to get the dangerous timber out of a canopy before it comes down on its own, hedge trimming to hold a boundary where you want it, and power line clearance where limbs have grown up into the service. Anything that comes off the tree can go through the chipper on site, so wood chipping and mulching are part of the same visit rather than another job to organise.

Stump grinding is what finishes a removal properly, taking the stump out so you can lay a lawn, a driveway or a shed over the top of it without working around a hole. When we pack up, the work area is left neat: we treat a customer's yard the way we would want ours treated, and the clean up is included in the price rather than added to it.

We work across the Perth Hills and the areas around them, for householders and for commercial clients, and our people are trained to deal with the public as well as the trees. Safety is where we hold the line hardest, and not only for the crew and the person paying us: the property, the surrounding vegetation and the wildlife living in the tree all get considered before a saw comes out.
