From Larrakeyah around to Berrimah, RV Tree Care covers the whole of Darwin, and the phone is answered at any hour of any day. The business was started in 2012 by a group of arborists here in town, so there is a bit over twelve years behind it now.

Tree removal is licensed work and we treat it that way. A tree gone diseased, one sitting where a build has to go, one whose roots are working away at your foundations, one with limbs hanging over somewhere they should not be: all of it starts the same way, with someone coming out to assess it before anything is cut. Then the gear goes in, the tree comes down, the site gets cleaned up, and we walk it with you at the end before the job is called finished.

What we bring depends on the tree. Chainsaws, hand saws and axes for the straightforward ones, hatchets for the small branch work, a crane where a tree cannot safely be dropped where it stands, a chipper for what comes off it, and a grinder for the stump afterwards.

Tree trimming and tree pruning keep a canopy in shape and off the roofline, and there is a good deal more to it than shortening branches. Crown thinning, crown raising and crown reduction each do a different job, and so do deadwood removal, formative and structural pruning, pollarding, and vista pruning when there is a view worth opening up. Which one a tree needs, and the right time of year to do it, is worth a conversation before you book anything in.

Once a removal is finished, stump grinding takes out what is left so the ground is usable again. Tree chipping turns the branches into chip on the spot, and spread over a garden bed that chip holds moisture in, keeps the weeds down and feeds the soil, which is a better end for it than burning it or leaving it piled at the kerb.

The 24/7 emergency side is why the number is always on. After a blow, a storm damaged tree or one that has gone hazardous overnight is not a next-week job, and we will get to it straight away.
