Luke Stonestreet owns Skytask Tree Services and climbs the trees himself. He is a qualified arborist at AQF3 and a climbing specialist, Darren works alongside him holding the same arborist qualification and climbing as well, and Emmy Stonestreet is on the ground with them. That is the whole crew, and the people named on our site are the people who turn up at your place. We are based in Armidale and work through the surrounding areas of the New England district.

There is more than one way to take a tree down, and we carry all three. Where there is room to put it and nothing underneath that matters, ground felling is the quickest and cleanest way to do it. Where there is not, the tree gets climbed, or we work it from an elevated work platform and bring it out in sections so the weight never travels over the roof, the fence or the garden below. Which method a job gets is decided by what is standing under the tree, not by what is easiest for us, and climbing is what both of our arborists are specialists in, so height and tight access are not reasons for us to knock a job back.

Our tree pruning is structural work. Crown reduction brings an oversized canopy back into proportion with the tree and the space it is in, and taking out dangerous limbs deals with the ones that will otherwise come out on their own timetable. We do not prune hedges, shrubs or fruit trees, and we would rather tell you that up front than turn up and disappoint you, because it is gardening work and structural arboriculture is what we are trained and ticketed for.

Stump grinding and wood chipping are available as part of a tree removal or pruning job, so the stump comes out and the branches go through the chipper while the gear is already on site.
