The business goes back to 1983, when Steve founded it, and it is still Steve who runs it day to day. He holds a Diploma of Arboriculture and has spent more than 40 years across all facets of tree management in and around Adelaide. Councils and property management companies have kept him on as a preferred supplier over that time, and plenty of private clients have called him back year after year. What we specialise in is tree pest and disease management. It starts with identification, which means recognising the symptoms and understanding the life cycles sitting behind them. Elm leaf beetle, cypress bark weevil, pear and cherry slug, scale and aphids and the other leaf damaging pests found around Adelaide and South Australia are all ones we treat.

Then comes monitoring, by visual inspection, traps or other surveillance, so an infestation is picked up early instead of after the damage is done. Where control is called for we use pesticides and fungicides responsibly and to the guidelines, keeping the environmental impact down, and we work within the local and national regulations that apply to it. Micronutrient injections are another option where a tree needs its vitality lifted, delivering the nutrients it is short of straight into the tree.

Tree inspections count for as much in a suburban garden as they do in a natural setting, and we carry them out properly. Arborist assessments and advice cover the health of a tree and what ought to be done about it, including whether pruning or removal is the right call. It is far too common to hear of untrained operators permanently disfiguring valuable trees, so all our work is performed in line with the Australian Standards.
