Stump Grind It

Twenty five years ago this was one bloke and a stump grinder. Stump Grind It is Troy's business, and what began as a one man stump grinding operation has grown into a full service arborist company with his three sons working in it alongside him. The crew now takes in climbing and EWP arborists, ground staff, and apprentice arborists coming up through the trade, so there is someone qualified to get up the tree and someone learning the job properly underneath it. Our arborists are qualified and the business is fully insured, which is worth confirming before anyone puts a saw into a tree on your property.

Stump grinding is where the name came from. Ground out well below the surface, a stump stops being something you mow around, and you can turf over it, garden on it or pour a slab where it used to be. The grinder gets into back yards through standard side access, so a stump behind the house does not automatically mean a fence panel out and a machine craned over the top. Where the roots have run under a path or up against a retaining wall we will tell you what we can reach and what we cannot before we start, not afterwards.

The rest of the work follows from the same trucks. Trees that are dead, dying, or have simply outgrown the block come down in sections where a house, a shed or a fence line sits close, and that is tree removal done the slow way for a reason. Tree trimming pulls a canopy back off a roof or a driveway and takes the weight out of limbs that are getting long on one side. When a job leaves a mess behind it, or a place has just got away from its owner between tenants, our yard clean ups put it back to something you can walk through again.

We work out of Wishart, on the Mount Gravatt side of town, and get right across Brisbane and South East Queensland from there. Residential jobs, rental properties, body corporate work and commercial sites all come through the same office, and the same crew turns up to them.
