Sun City Trees and Mulch

Seventeen of us work out of the yard at Roseneath, and Sun City Trees and Mulch has been cutting and carting around Townsville for more than 26 years now. We are a preferred Government contractor, we carry full insurance, and the crew takes in qualified arborists and horticulturists. That size is why a job can go from one backyard tree to a cleared block without us bringing another outfit in behind us.

A gum leaning over the roof with cyclone season coming, a boundary line that has got away over a couple of wet seasons, or a block that has to be bare before the slab goes down: those all come to the same crew. We take on tree lopping and tree removal for homeowners, businesses and real estate agents, and land clearing where the job runs bigger than a tree or two. Stump grinding and stump removal close it out, so there is nothing left to trip on or mow around.

What comes off your place does not go to the tip if we can help it. Our woodchipping puts the trees and stumps we take out back into your own garden, and the rest goes through the yard and comes out as mulch that will sit on any soil type. You can buy it by the load, along with rocks and the other landscaping supplies, which means the clean-up and the replanting get sorted in the one trip.

Some jobs you would sooner do yourself, and for those we run equipment hire: excavators, loaders and stump grinders, out of the same yard as everything else. Hiring the machine and doing a weekend of work on it beats a fortnight with a mattock, and we will tell you straight whether the machine you are after is the right one for the ground you have got.
