The business is new, started in 2022, but the arborist is not. Superior Tree and Stump is owner operated by Dion, a qualified arborist with 25 years of tree work behind him across Adelaide and the surrounding suburbs. The job does not get handed to a subcontractor and supervised from a distance, so the person who quotes it is the person who does it, and the quote does not get inflated passing through a middleman.

Tree removal gets planned before a saw comes out: what comes off first, where it is going to land, and what has to be protected on the way down. Where there is no room to drop a tree whole, it comes out in sections and gets lowered rather than dropped. Tree pruning keeps a tree healthy and off the roof and the gutters, whether that is a crown lift to get underneath it, a structural or aesthetic reduction, or clearing limbs back from the house before they start rubbing on the tiles.

Stump grinding takes the stump down below the surface so you can lay lawn, pave or plant over the top without the old root plate getting in the way. Storm damage is the other side of the work: when a limb or a whole tree comes down in weather, we take urgent call outs, get to you as quickly as we can and tell you straight when to expect us, working from getting the hazard under control through to the removal and the full clean up.

Practical advice comes with the quote, including where council approval may apply to a tree, so you know where you stand before the work starts rather than after. If a tree does not need to come out we will say so. Safety gets planned properly, the right gear turns up for the job in front of us, and we are fully insured for public liability.

We are on the tools Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, with emergency call outs outside those hours for genuinely urgent jobs.
