Swann's Arboricultural Services is a locally owned family business based out of North Brisbane. Brent Swann, our managing director, has been a qualified arborist since 1990, and he spent those years with some of the largest tree removal contractors in Queensland and New South Wales before starting this one.

Every assessment we produce is done by an AQF Level 5 arborist, which is the qualification government and most local councils require before they will accept a tree report at all. Our arborists also hold International Society of Arboriculture Qualified Tree Risk Assessor certification. We carry $20 million in public liability and professional indemnity insurance, we can supply Safe Work Method Statements for everything on our list, and our crews are trained in rope access for working at height where getting a machine near the tree is not an option.

For homes and businesses we take on tree pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, power line clearance, land clearing and storm damage work, all of it to Australian standards. Where a tree cannot simply be dropped, rigging gear and ropes bring it down in manageable sections instead. Tree assessments and reports are a side of the business in their own right. Our arborists will come out and assess a tree's health and condition or identify what on your site is a hazard, then write it up as an individual or bulk project report, a tree valuation, a tree management plan, an arborist impact statement, or a transplanting and tree protection report. We can also assess whether a tree or a stand of trees is significant enough to be heritage listed, which changes what may be done with it.

Local and State government work sits alongside all of that, with established environmental management systems, regular site audits, equipment pre-start checks and rapid response crews for the jobs where time is the whole problem.
