Arboriculture Australia registers us as a Consulting Arborist at Tier 1, and our Tree Risk Assessment Qualification as an assessor runs through to 2028. Sydney Landscape Consultants works across Sydney, Wollongong, the Blue Mountains, the North Coast and NSW wide, for residents, architects, developers, councils and home builders.

We are AQF Level 5 Consulting Arborists, AQF Level 5 Horticulturists and AQF Level 5 Landscape Designers, so the arborist report, the horticultural advice and the landscape plan for a Development Application can all come off the one desk. The point of that is to make the submission process simpler for the person lodging it. We are a Registered Horticulturist with the Australian Institute of Horticulture, an accredited member of the Institute of Australian Consulting Arboriculturists, a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, and members of the Australian Plant Society of New South Wales and the Landscape Design Institute.

Preliminary tree assessments come first, before a design is locked down, so the tree constraints on a site are known while there is still room to work around them. The Arboricultural Impact Assessment for the DA follows once the layout is settled. Where trees are being kept we prepare tree location and protection plans and specify the tree protection measures that the conditions of consent will call for, then issue the tree compliance certifications once the works have been done.

Pre house purchase constraints assessments are for buyers who want to know what the trees on a property mean before they commit to it. We also handle pest and disease identification where a tree is failing and nobody is sure why, and GIS data capture for sites carrying enough trees that they need to be held as data rather than a list on a page.

We give expert witness evidence in the Land and Environment Court, at NCAT hearings and in the Supreme Court. On the horticultural side we prepare landscape plans and horticultural specifications, which is frequently what a consent asks for alongside the tree work. We carry professional indemnity cover of five million dollars and public liability of twenty million.
