Tailored Tree Care

Tailored Tree Care is run by Michael Paunovich out of the Geelong region, with a team of qualified arborists covering Greater Geelong, Bannockburn and the Golden Plains. The team is licensed and the work is fully insured, and the standard set for the business is blunt enough to quote: a 5 star service, with anything less counted as a failure.

Tree and stump removal is the core of it, and the speciality inside that is the tight work, taking out trees close to houses and other valuable assets where there is no room for the thing to simply fall. Emergency tree removal and storm damage assessment are both offered, which covers the two halves of a bad night: getting the immediate hazard on the ground, and working out what the rest of the tree is likely to do next.

Tree pruning is carried out to Australian Standard 4373, Pruning of Amenity Trees. That is worth knowing, because it is the line between pruning and lopping. Cuts made to the standard leave a tree able to seal the wound and hold its structure, where an arbitrary chop invites decay and a flush of weak regrowth that turns into the next problem a few years down the track.

Cable bracing is the service that sets the list apart. Using Yale Brace 4 tonne rope, the team installs a cabling system strong enough to support branches that would otherwise be candidates for removal. On a significant old tree with one poor union, that is often the difference between keeping it and losing it.

Management plans are the long view, worked out with Michael and the arborists for anyone with more trees than they can sensibly handle one at a time, on a rural block or a commercial site. Mulching and mulch sales round things out, either processing what has come off a job or delivering good mulch to a property that needs it.
