Taking a big gum, a pine or a palm down safely is a different job from a trim, and it is the work Taking Care of Trees has built itself around. We are tree and stump removal specialists with more than 20 years in the industry, South Australian owned and operated, working out of Holden Hill. Gum tree removal, pine tree removal and palm tree removal are all regular work for us, along with dangerous tree removal and dead tree removal where a tree has gone past the point of being safe to leave standing.

Our crew are fully qualified arborists, tree climbers and trained ground crew. We carry twenty million dollars of public liability and ten million of professional indemnity, and we hold environmental management, quality and safety certification, which is what councils, builders and property managers want to see before they hand over a site. The same crew and the same standards turn up to a back yard in the suburbs as to a commercial job.

Tree pruning keeps a tree in shape and gets the weight back off the roof and the fence line. A tree assessment is worth doing first if you are not sure whether a tree has to come out at all, because you get a straight answer from someone qualified before you commit to anything, and plenty of trees people write off can be kept with the right cuts.

Once a tree is down, stump removal and stump grinding clear the ground so you can build, pave or replant over it. We also run hydrovac excavation, which digs using water and suction, so roots and underground services can be exposed without a machine bucket going anywhere near them.

When a tree comes down in weather, storm damage tree removal is not something you should have to sit on until Monday morning, so we run a 24 hour emergency call out across the areas we cover. We service all Adelaide metropolitan areas, the Adelaide Hills and regional South Australia: north through Salisbury, Modbury, Mawson Lakes, Para Hills and Prospect; south through Morphett Vale, Happy Valley, Hallett Cove, Seaford and Marion; east through Burnside, Norwood, Magill, Campbelltown and Athelstone; and west through Port Adelaide, Henley Beach, Glenelg, Findon and Semaphore.
