A tree comes through the fence at eleven at night, or a limb lands across the driveway on a Sunday, and the only question that matters is how long until somebody turns up. Our average response time on an emergency call-out is one hour, depending on where the job is, and the phone is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, holidays included. Tallow Tree Services has been doing this out of Bangalow for better than a quarter of a century, across the NSW North Coast and up into south east Queensland.

That response time is not luck. We run a purpose built workflow management system, so a call turns into a dispatched crew without anyone hunting through a diary, and you get before and after photographs of the work when it is finished. Day to day the same qualified and certified arborists handle tree removal and tree pruning, with chipping and mulching processing what comes down on site and mulch supplies sold on from there. We are relentless about safety, for our crew, for you and for whoever happens to be walking past, and that is the reason a job gets set up properly before a saw starts.

It is a wide run of country and it is mostly acreage, which changes what a tree job actually is: the tree is often the smallest part of what needs doing on the block.

That is where the rest of the fleet earns its place. On rural and agricultural ground we take on land clearing and firebreaks: taking out the hazardous trees, clearing dense underbrush that would carry a fire, cutting firebreaks in, opening defensible space around a house and bringing the fuel load down before a bad summer. The same machinery covers slashing, earthworks and general property maintenance, so a block can go from standing timber to cleared and levelled without a second contractor being booked. Where the job needs paper before it needs a chainsaw, our arborist reports are written for councils and development applications, and our environmental services cover the vegetation management end of a project.
