About This Business
Over 70 staff, and thousands of customers across more than 25 years. That is the scale Taylors Trees works at, trading as Taylors Tree and Stump Removal, and at that size what keeps a job consistent is the systems sitting behind it. Every one of our workers is trained to comply with the Australian standards for tree pruning and removal, we are affiliated with the International Society of Arboriculture and Arboriculture Australia, and the work comes with a customer service guarantee attached.
We work for homes and businesses right across Melbourne and into Victoria, with named service areas taking in the eastern suburbs through Ringwood, Croydon, Ferntree Gully and Bayswater North, the inner suburbs from Hawthorn, Malvern and Cremorne out to Elwood and Brunswick, and the run down the Mornington Peninsula through Frankston, Mount Eliza, Mornington and Capel Sound. Every one of our vehicles carries a tracking device, so when you ring and ask where the crew has got to, you get an answer.
Elms are worth protecting, and the elm leaf beetle is the reason they need it. The beetles feed on the canopy and leave tiny holes right through the leaves, and left untreated they weaken a tree and eventually kill it. Our elm leaf beetle control is done by stem injection and nothing else: the equipment targets the insects directly, it is the method with the least effect on the surrounding ecosystem, and it leaves little or no visual mark on the tree. One treatment holds for two to three years, it is carried out only by our qualified arborists, and they can reach trees that would otherwise be impossible to treat. If the elms next door are in the same state, ask about the group rate, since treating a whole street gives every tree in it more protection than treating one. The same arborists deal with sooty mould caused by aphids, with psyllids, and with gum leaf skeletoniser.
The core work is tree removal, tree pruning and tree stump removal. Possum banding fits a collar to a trunk so possums cannot climb up, eat out the canopy or find their way into your roof. Where a protected tree is involved we help with getting a tree removal permit, which is the step most Melbourne councils will not let you past, and our hazard and risk assessment and arborist reports handle the written side. For anyone with a lot of trees to look after, tree maintenance programs and cyclic pruning put the work on a schedule, and we run cyclic contracts for councils and utility service companies with a robust auditing process and proper data collection behind them. Tree planting is on the list too.
For arboriculture work in the local government or power utility sector, our partner Vegetation Group Australia takes it on. Everything else starts the same way here: get in touch and you get a prompt response and a free quote with no obligation on it. Ring 0412 598 634 and tell us which tree is giving you trouble.
