About This Business
What we can get onto a site decides how a difficult tree comes down. A palm in a courtyard gets climbed, a limb over a roofline gets roped down in sections, and where neither will work we book a crane for the day and lift the pieces out over the house. Trees overhanging buildings, tight access and the jobs that need a crane are the specialty at Territory Arbor, and no job is too difficult for us to come and look at.
Mick is the lead arborist and the backbone of the business. He has over 16 years in the tree industry, gained working as an arborist for some of the biggest tree companies across the Northern Territory and in Sydney, and his reputation as a climber is well known through the trade. He is also the one who turns up at your place, talks through what you need and gives you the quote. Ian and Janelle own the business and have more than 30 years of running one behind them, and Matt looks after the office, the quotes, the receipts, and making sure the crew know what you have asked for.
We take on tree removal of all types of trees, no matter how big or how small, and the tree trimming that keeps a canopy in order: overhanging limbs brought back off the house, deadwooding through the crown, and thinning to take wind load out of a tree before the wet. If a tree is sitting over a building, or the only way in is a side gate, mention it when you ring, because that is what decides whether we climb it, rope it down or bring the crane.
Land clearing gets a block ready to build on and cuts fire breaks in before the dry sets in properly. There is an excavator for hire if you want one on your own job, and we sell mulch by the load, so what comes off one property can go straight onto somebody else's garden beds. Our base is at Coolalinga, and we cover Darwin and the rest of the Northern Territory from there.
The only people who work on your trees are our own employees and certified contractors we have worked alongside for years. We hold all the necessary licences and are fully insured, and where a larger project calls for a special licence or certification, we bring in others from the tree community who hold it. The 24/7 emergency number is the same number as the office, so a tree down across the driveway at two in the morning gets a person on the phone. Ring it and Mick will come out, look at what you have got and price it.
