The French Crew trades as The French Lumberjack & Co and The French Landscaper & Co, it's family owned and operated on the Gold Coast by Arthur and Misty, and there are over 20 years of hands-on experience behind it. Our arborists are AQF qualified, we carry 20 million dollars of public liability cover and we're WorkCover insured.

That matters more than it sounds on tree work, because the moment a job is priced by the hour you are the one carrying the risk of it taking longer than anybody thought. Tree removal takes down any size tree, including storm damaged and dangerous ones, with full site cleanup included in the price. Where the tree is staying, tree pruning works on structure, health and safety, carried out to Australian Standard AS4373. Palm cleaning takes off the dead fronds, fruit and debris and removes the hazards they create on the ground below.

Stump grinding removes a stump completely below ground so nothing regrows and the spot is ready for landscaping. Our tree reports and assessment service produces AQF certified reports for council applications and health assessments, and tree health management puts an ongoing care plan behind it, with disease diagnosis and treatment for the trees you intend to keep. A council application is a good deal smoother when the report backing it came from an AQF certified arborist in the first place.

On the larger side, land clearing clears residential and commercial blocks, and earth moving handles site preparation, levelling and excavation. Root barrier installation protects footings, driveways and pipework from invasive roots before they turn into a much more expensive problem. Our mulch supply is hardwood wood chip, delivered to your Gold Coast property. Between the two trading names we can take a block from an overgrown mess through to a finished, usable outdoor space without you having to hand it off to another contractor in the middle.
