About This Business
There is a good stock of 10 to 12 inch, well seasoned mixed gum in the yard, self serve, whenever you are after firewood. That is one end of what The Tree Fellers do out of Victor Harbor. The other end is a tower and a crew taking a dangerous tree out from beside a house. Greg Ellers is the managing director, the business is fully insured, and any quote you ask us for is free and carries no obligation with it.
Trees come out for all sorts of reasons. Overcrowding, a tree that is dead or dying, one that has become unsafe, one that has grown too close to a building, or a stand that has to go for bushfire clearance. Tree removal and stump removal deal with all of it, and we have the equipment and the skills to get a tree down safely when there is no easy way to drop it. For the bigger sites, land clearing and tower hire put the reach and the machinery on the job that the job actually calls for.
Where a tree is staying put, tree lopping and pruning thin the branches out, take off the ones interfering with power lines, gutters and windows, and clear the diseased or dead limbs before they come down in their own time. Tree trimming keeps the shape sensible from one year to the next, and it does the tree good rather than just tidying it up. Some trees need more than a trim if they are going to keep standing, and that is where tree surgery comes in.
Everything that comes off a job goes through the chipper, and woodchipping and mulching turn it into something you can use. Mulch is a good way to lift the look of a garden bed, and it also conserves moisture, prevents erosion, moderates soil temperatures, improves the soil underneath and keeps the weeds down. Woodchips are slow to break down, so they do not have to be replaced as often as some other mulch materials. If you want a load, ask when we are on site and we will sort it out.
We work across Victor Harbor and the wider Fleurieu Peninsula, on everything from a single overhanging limb to a block that needs clearing outright. Ring the office landline or catch us on the mobile, or send an email through if that suits you better. Tell us what the tree is doing, and we will come out, have a look at it in person, and give you a price with nothing attached to it.
