Tiger Trees NT

There are three ways up a tree on our jobs. Someone climbs it, we put an elevated work platform under it, or we bring a crane in and lift the sections out over the roof. Which one you get comes down to what is sitting underneath the tree and how much room there is to work in, and sorting that out is the first thing we do when we come and look at the job.

Tiger Trees NT is a family business working out of Girraween. Shane Gooley is the director, Donna Gooley is director on the admin side, and Jessica Gooley is in the office with her. Our crew hold tree climbing certificates, EWP operator licences, chainsaw and wood chipper tickets, white cards, first aid and arborist qualifications, and we are fully insured across everything we take on.

Tree removal takes in the tree that has died, the one leaning on a shed, and the one nobody can get a truck within thirty metres of. Palms are a category of their own in the Top End, and palm removal here usually means one that went in far too close to the house years ago and then kept going up. Where a tree is staying put, pruning and trimming take the weight out of a canopy and pull it back off a roofline before the wet season gets a chance to test it.

Stump grinding clears out what a removal leaves in the ground so you can plant or pave straight over the top. Everything we take down goes through the chipper and comes back as garden mulching if you want it spread on the beds. Crane works is what we bring out when the only way a tree is leaving the block is up and over the house.

We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we run 24/7 emergency tree removal across Darwin and the surrounding area for the nights a tree comes down on a car, a fence or a roof. We also fly in and out to remote Northern Territory communities and island locations when the work is out that way.
