There is usually no clean drop. The tree that worries people most is the one boxed in by a shed on one side, a fence on the other and a garden bed underneath, and that is the work we are set up for at Tiny's Tree Services. Andrew Fereday is a fully qualified and fully insured arborist, and working in confined spaces is what we specialise in, so a tree with nowhere to fall gets climbed and taken down in sections. The motto is no job too big or Tiny, and it is meant literally: a single overgrown branch is as welcome a call as a full removal.

Riddells Creek is home, and from there we cover all the Macedon Ranges suburbs and a wide arc of Melbourne's north and west. That takes in Seymour, Kilmore, Wallan, Epping, South Morang, Roxburgh Park, Gladstone Park, Essendon, Niddrie, Ascot Vale, Moonee Ponds, Keilor and Keilor Park, out through Sunshine, St Albans, Taylors Lakes, Sydenham, Hillside, Caroline Springs, Melton and Plumpton, then west again to Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Point Cook. Power lines change how a job gets planned. If your trees have grown up into the service lines running to the house, we prune them back to the clearances the power companies set, and that is a measurement with a right answer rather than a matter of taste. Taking on the service wire clearance ourselves means you are not left chasing the distributor to work out whose branch it is. The same climbing gets put to use on the job nobody plans for, and yes, we do drone retrieval, because a drone stuck forty feet up a gum comes out the way a limb does.

Trees come down for all sorts of reasons, and yours might be any of them: structural problems, the end of a tree's life, a tree weakened by disease, storm damage, a new build going in, or simply the wrong species for the position it was planted in. When we prune or trim, we are working on shape, risk and structural integrity at once. A hedge that has got away from you gets tidied up, brought down in height and reshaped. We can run the stump grinding in with a complete tree and stump removal, or come back on its own to clear the old stumps still sitting in the garden. After a big blow we handle the storm damage clean up, taking out the fallen timber, the broken branches and the widow makers left hanging in the canopy.

Not everything leaves a site as waste either. We deliver mulch to properties around the district, so what comes off one job goes onto someone else's garden beds.
