Our day starts at five in the morning and runs to six at night, seven days a week. From our yard at Ashgrove we send arborists holding AQF Level 5, the highest arboricultural qualification available in Australia, and we carry full public liability cover on every job.

Trees get the tender loving care the name promises, but the thing that decides how a job goes is usually the gear on the truck. Ours includes sixteen and eighteen inch Bandit wood chippers, a seventeen metre boom lift and a Red Roo stump grinder, which between them mean a tight inner suburban block gets the same clean result as an acre out west. Owning the machines rather than hiring them also means we can start when we said we would, instead of when a hire yard has one free.

When a tree turns unsafe or a storm has already made the decision for you, tree removal and tree felling take it down in stages so nothing lands where it should not. Bigger projects are covered by land clearing, where we survey the property for obstructions first and then clear the vegetation that is in the way. Every job finishes the same way, with wood chipping, mulching and full debris and waste disposal, so the green waste leaves as something useful and the site is left clean.
