It is a straightforward, owner-run operation, and the range of work it takes on is broader than the plain website first suggests.

Tree pruning is handled to Australian standards and covers the removal of large or dangerous limbs over a structure or high traffic area, and the removal of dead, diseased and damaged wood, "thereby increasing general health and vigor in your trees". Pruning is also used to reduce weight for storm safety, to thin a canopy for light and airflow, and to shape a tree. Tree removals are taken on where a tree has died or is in decline, where excessive rot and decay is affecting structural soundness, where storm damage has occurred, where a tree has become dangerous or unstable, or where it was simply planted in the wrong place. Cleanup is included, and you can choose to keep the wood or mulch or have it taken away entirely.

Stump grinding is offered as what the business calls the most efficient and cost effective way to remove stumps, dealing with both the look of a leftover stump and the termite risk it carries. Chipping means greenwaste can be chipped and left as mulch for the garden or removed completely. Hedging covers full hedge maintenance, and pest control and management means TLO can identify ailments in your specific trees and formulate a treatment plan rather than simply cutting the problem out.

Several offerings lift this above a standard cutting service. Tree planting comes with advice on species selection that accounts for "soils, structures, and microclimates", plus supply, transport and planting. Habitat installation covers possum boxes, nest boxes and wildlife habitats. Dangerous tree removal is backed by an EWP (cherry picker) for the jobs that cannot be climbed safely, and machine wet hire makes the plant available to others, with an EWP, and a skid steer, truck and chipper combo, supplied with an operator.
