Blayney Shire Council requires approval before removing or significantly trimming a tree in a heritage conservation area, and Cabonne Shire Council takes the same position: consent is needed for the removal of any tree within a heritage conservation area. Trees on verges and nature strips are council business regardless of who lives out the front.
