Tree Division

Clearing a block of trees is difficult work, and it only gets harder the older and larger the trees are, because what is under the ground turns out to be as much of a job as what is standing above it. That situation is what Tree Division grew around. We started as a small business and became a combined tree care, land clearing and excavation operation, so a block being prepared for building or fencing gets handled by one crew from the first assessment through to the last load out.

We work Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Bellarine Peninsula, across residential, commercial and civil jobs. Our arborists are highly trained and qualified, and they work alongside land specialists who have spent years across all types of land, trees and equipment.

What decides most of these jobs is the plant we can put on the site. Trees that should not be climbed get EWP services, with elevated work platform access instead of a rope and a harness. Our excavation hire came directly out of years of taking trees out, so the machinery doing your ground work is run by people who already understand what is underneath it. For the sheer volume of timber that comes off a large clearing job there is horizontal grinding, heavy duty machinery built for large scale work, and land clearing is what ties all three of them together.

Tree removal and tree pruning and maintenance are the everyday end of the list, with stump removal and grinding finishing what a removal leaves in the ground and debris removal clearing the site down afterwards. A tree's purpose does not end when it gets removed, which is why wood chipping and mulching turns the green waste into something usable again.

Our arborist reports cover the paperwork that a council permit, a development approval or an insurance claim wants in hand before anything gets cut, and having the reporting and the machinery under one roof means you are not booking the assessment through one business and the work through another.
