Getting a tree off a block is not always the same job twice. Where there is open ground, tree felling is the quickest and often the cheapest way to do it, and the tree comes down in one piece. Where the tree is boxed in by a house, a shed or a fence line, tree removal means climbing it and bringing it down in pieces small enough to control. Either way we would rather talk it through with you first, because the price and the mess are very different between the two.

Target pruning is the answer to the branches growing over a fence line into a neighbour's yard or reaching across a roof, taking off what is causing the problem and leaving the rest of the tree standing. Ordinary tree pruning is more about how the tree looks and how it holds up, thinning it out and taking off what has died back. Hedge trimming keeps a hedge tidy and square instead of thickening at the top and going bare underneath. Once a tree is down, stump removal gets the last of it out of the ground so you can get on with the yard.
