A tree with a splitting fork does not automatically have to come down. The same thinking runs through everything else. Where a branch has turned dangerous we will take the branch and leave you the tree, because tree pruning done early costs less than the repair bill that arrives when a problem is left to run. Maintaining healthy trees proactively is what we advocate, and it is the reason we would rather look at your trees in a quiet year than in the week after a storm. When a tree genuinely has to go, we handle the tree removal quickly and without damage to what is around it, which on a Ranges block usually means dismantling it in pieces on ropes.

Gisborne is our base, and most of the Ranges sits inside a short drive of it. Once the cutting is done, the mess gets dealt with before we leave. Our chipper reduces the waste wood to uniformly sized chips, and we either cart the wood chip away or leave it with you for the garden beds, whichever suits. For what stays in the ground, we bring the stump grinder out for even the old ones that have sat there long enough to go hard, so you get a smooth yard back and not a set of obstacles to mow around. Every one of our arborists is qualified and fully insured, so the risk on a job near a house or a fence line sits with us.
