The Resi is an instrument we use for decay detection, reading the inside of a standing tree and mapping cavities and the stages of decay without cutting into it or harming it. Tree Test Australia holds a Senior Resi Operators Certificate 5 and IML Resi Certified Trainer status, so as well as bringing the technology to your tree we train the people who operate it elsewhere. Where a trunk looks sound from the outside and the whole question is what the wood is doing inside it, a Resi scan gives you an answer you can point at rather than an opinion you have to take on trust.

More than 25 years on, this is still the original and oldest arbor consulting company in Toowoomba, and from here we take work across all of Queensland and into northern New South Wales. We are fully insured and council approved, and consulting is the whole of what we offer: surveys, testing and reports. Nobody gets a quote from us for taking a tree down, because we are not the ones who take it down.

What you get from us is a document somebody else has to act on, whether that is a council reading a development application, an insurer, a body corporate or a school. That takes in arboricultural surveys and tree reports for planning and development work, hazard and risk assessments run under the Quantified Tree Risk Assessment system as a registered licensee, and annual tree risk assessments for sites that need the same trees looked at year on year with a record to match. School tree risk assessments we handle as their own category, because there is play space underneath. The same testing sits behind timber structure evaluation, vegetation surveys, the aging of significant trees and scar tree testing. Behind all of it is a Level 5 Diploma in Horticulture and Arboriculture, membership of the Queensland Arborist Association and the ISA, and a QTRA licence held in our own name.

Builders and developers who want somebody across the trees for the whole length of a build, from the first site meeting onward, put us on for project supervision. Crews who would prefer their own people could read a tree before the saws come out send them to our ground staff training.
