Treebeards Arboriculture is a Mackay-region tree care and consultancy business founded by partners Warran McLeod and Allan Erickson, who between them bring over forty years' experience in the industry. Based at Marian, both founders spent many years working with local councils — Warran supervising arboriculture crews and contractor teams, and Allan as a senior leading hand overseeing tree maintenance and apprentice training — so they have a full working knowledge of the procedures, policies and standards that professional tree work demands. The result is a genuinely qualified, holistic approach to looking after trees.

On the practical side, Treebeards Arboriculture offers the complete range of tree maintenance, including tree removal and lopping, formative pruning to shape young trees, tree planting, palm and coconut de-nutting, and stump grinding. All work follows the relevant Australian Standards and makes use of the latest equipment, along with drone technology that lets the team capture clear before-and-after footage of every job.

What sets the business apart is its depth of arboricultural consultancy. The team prepares detailed arboriculture reports, tree health and condition assessments, root investigations and tree impact assessment reports, and provides project arborist services and tree protection on development sites. They also offer onsite verbal consultations, nursery inspections and pest and disease management, making them a valuable resource for builders, developers and councils as well as homeowners.

Qualifications run deep on both sides of the partnership. Warran holds a Certificate 5 Diploma of Arboriculture along with drone pilot, high-risk EWP and Hiab crane licences and poison accreditation, while Allan is a Certificate 3 trade-qualified arborist with matching machinery licences and accreditations. The pair describe themselves as qualified "tree doctors" who live and breathe sustainability, bringing a considered, environmentally responsible mindset to every project.
