About This Business
Ask us to quote a removal and the first thing we do is check whether you actually need one. Keeping trees standing is the part of this work we care most about, so tree pruning and thinning gets considered before anything else. It will often give you the outlook you were after with the tree still in the ground, and where a tree wants attention year on year we will put a maintenance program together to look after its health and safety without changing your view. That is how Treeco Arboriculture comes at every job out of Margaret River.
Our run goes from Busselton to Augusta and Margaret River to Nannup, taking in Dunsborough, Yallingup, Cowaramup, Gracetown, Witchcliffe, Rosa Brook, Vasse, Osmington, Burnside, Eagle Bay, Karridale, Prevelly and Wilyabrup. On a larger job we will travel further afield on request, out to Bunbury, Australind, Collie, Donnybrook, Bridgetown, Manjimup, Pemberton, Walpole, Denmark or Albany. Residential, commercial and shire work all comes through the same crew, and every arborist on it is fully qualified, experienced, equipped and insured.
Chris Wright founded the business. He completed his arboriculture qualifications in 2012 and then spent years climbing in Sweden, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, picking up techniques you do not learn standing in one place. He settled here in 2016, and since then he has worked on some of the South West's best known trees: the Valley of the Giants, and Pemberton's fire lookouts, the Bicentennial Tree, the Gloucester Tree and the Diamond Tree. Fifteen years in the industry and two young boys at home later, that is still the standard he holds a job to.
If Western Power has sent you a 40 day vegetation notice, bring it to us. We hold the licences and insurances to work safely on trees encroaching on powerlines and we know what their clearance requirements actually ask of a tree, so powerline pruning gets done once and complies. Our tree reports evaluate a tree's health and set out species, age and size, the risks we can see and the course of action we would recommend. Where a tree is worth holding onto but is structurally suspect, cabling and bracing adds support that improves its stability and reduces the risk of a limb letting go in bad weather or as the tree matures.
Not every tree can be kept. When one is dead, dangerous or genuinely causing you grief, we handle the tree removals safely, and our in-house stump grinding runs specialist equipment that breaks the stump down so nothing regrows from what is left. What comes off a job goes somewhere useful. Tree hollows take decades to form naturally and native animals need them now, so we supply and install wildlife habitat, either artificial hollows you have bought elsewhere or natural ones salvaged from condemned trees that would otherwise be destroyed, subject to what we have on hand. Put your details on our mulch delivery register and we will get in touch next time we are working near you.
Storms keep their own hours, so our 24/7 emergency tree callouts run around the clock to make a property safe until a full assessment can be made in the morning. Otherwise, quotes are obligation free and no job has been too big or too small for us to come and look at. Ring Chris on the mobile, and if he does not pick up he is most likely up a tree, so leave a message and he will get back to you.
